Spend an awesome day out participating in the annual Backcountry 4x4 Club M.U.D. Run.
For me, it started early with a trip to James', then on the way to meet
up with Eugene and the crew, and an impromptu breakdown on Glendale
Road. No gas in the filter, so some adjustments were made and we were on
out way.
Met the guys at the Cole Harbour Sobeys. I ran to CT to get a bigger
fuel filter as I had a temporary filter on there, and we were swiftly
onto our next stop where I got some supplies.
Breakdown in Preston - guess...no fuel in the filter. So some more tinkering and troubleshooting and we were on our way.
Got to the 1st checkpoint and my oil light was on - no oil. So the crew
left for the 1st leg and I hi-tailed it back to Porters Lake to get
oil.
The crew were out in the trail when I got back, so I was productive and
moved my exhaust hanger so the tailpipe wasn't knocking on the shock. I
also deleted the Jeep fuel filter that has a return line and adjusted
the timing and fuel mixture. I also found a pin hole in one of my
coolant hoses, so Derek passed me the magic pipe fixing rubber, and I
was good.
We also bumped into Ron and Jessie as they were finishing up their run.
I spent the rest of the day crawling through some awesome trails - no engine issues!:)
We ran from Porters Lake to the Airport and crossed over a very empty river!
