MERCEDES HALF-HI-STEER

Installed the Mercedes half-hi-steer mod.

Since Z bars are outlawed here in NS, I'm hoping this swap will help with bump steer and minor death wobble.

TOPS

Bought a Bestop Windjammer and Deck Duster. I'm waiting on a set of poppers from China, so I can't install the Desk Duster right now.

I'll also need to figure out what to do with the top straps. I'll probably add an external mount to the rear corner somewhere.

TBI 2.0

Got tired of tinkering with the Toyota carb - it would run really sweet for hours, then start permanently flooding out for no reason.

So the TBI is re-installed and this time, I've chopped out all of the extra unnecessary wires out of the harness, deleted the Tracker starter switch and removed all of the extra sensor connectors that were not being used. 

I'm really happy with how it has turned out as it's running well and the wiring is very tidy too :)

I think I'm going to mount the ECU to the firewall....later.

DIRTY CARB

Note to self - don't run the carb without an air cleaner, especially with the PCV plumbed into the stock cleaner housing LOL

Went on a quick run to test the Toyota carb, and the same morning I figured I'd install the stock air filter housing and plumb the snorkel in, not thinking about the oily PCV air going straight into the carb...oops  LOL

Zuk ran flawlessly for a few hours, then started to flood out. Took the carb apart and found oily gunk in it, and some little chunks in the needle valve.
