Zuks rear shocks only have 1 inch up-travel, which is a problem.
Rather than replace these nice long Epic Trek rebuild-able nitrogen shocks, I made extended shock towers. Now the ride isn't always on the bump stops, and there's more bonus stuffage :)
Got invited to an impromptu tour of Renfrew gold mines. Buddy wanted to see some of the old mining out there, so we hit the trails :)
We stopped at the camp site memorial, found the abandoned mine and an A-frame house that's been slowly deteriorating over the years.
Oh...and a decapitated dolls head !
The Zuk preformed flawlessly in mostly 2 wheel drive. I did try the waterfall in 2 wheel drive high range with no lockers, but the steep rock face was slippery, so I had to put it in 2 wheel drive low range and lock the rear, then she crawled right up.
It wasn't a day of hardcore trails, but still always good to get out :)
