F150 : CAB CORNER REPAIR

Started on the last job for it's antique inspection - cab corner repair, and I have no patience with it and my least favorite job.

The hole was initially small to look at, but quickly grew once I removed all of the rust....that's how it usually goes.

Made a template and cut the main patch panel out. I'll probably need a small filler piece later.

Tomorrow will be metal prep and welding...in the hottest day of the week lol.

F150 : HEATER CONTROLS

Tackled the heater controls;
1.Defrost is inoperable.
2.Heat control inoperable.

Removed the blower motor and found a chunk missing out of the plastic 'basket blades'...so that's what the vibes are. So I ground the same again off the other side to balance it out.
The bearing is toast tho, so I coated it with WD40 as a temporary fix until I can replace it. It doesn't vibe any more and it's quiet...for now.

Fixed the defrost problem...thankfully the blend door is good, the cable had just popped off it's mounting clip ðŸ™‚

The temp control valve moves but the cable has seized and somebody forced it and snapped it, so it'll need replacing once I figure out how the heck I remove the control panel LOL

F150 : REAR BRAKES AND AXLE SEAL

For the trucks inspection the it needed a rear axle seal due to a leak, and new shoes.
Also, the parking brake isn't hooked up, so that needs fixing.

The axle is an 8.8 with C clips, so to get to the seal, the c clips have to be removed to slide the axle out.

I discovered the parking brake lever is missing on the drivers side, so a trip to the junk yard is required.
