Buddy's rig unexpectedly came up for sale at a cheap price, so I decided to buy it for parts and to make a little project out of it.
The rig is a massively modified 1986 Suzuki Samurai Long Wheelbase, with;
- 1986 Samurai front axle with high steer conversion and 5.13 gears
- 1998 Tracker rear axle with 5.13 gears
- 1993 Fuel injected 1.6 8v Tracker engine & transmission.
- 3000lb ATV winch
- Wooden dask conversion
- Honda Civic seats
- DIY front and rear driveshafts
Motor is the same as my other 2 1.6 8v engines.
This Sammy was pulled out of a back yard, then with 1.3 motor, then a Chev 350 V8, now a 1.6 8v Tracker motor.
In order to get the 350 motor in, the front frame, fenders and hood were chopped and an extra 1 foot added! :O
My windshield is cracked, so that will be swapped too.
The rear diff ring gear in my good rig is warped, and the donor rig is spring over axle, so the axles will be swapped over too.
So to pay for this, the tires were sold and I've started to tear it
down to take the motor out so I can swap it into the good rig.
