HI-LIFT MOUNT

With the Zuk so tall on it's YJ leafs and 31" tires, there's no way a standard jack would lift the Zuk, so it was time to add a mount for my Hi-Lift jack.

There's no room for it on my bumpers and I considered mounting it on the hood. But that would have impeded the opening if the hood.

So I found some brackets that came off one of the other Zuks in my pile of parts, and re-used it for the Hi-Lift mount. I think that's a pretty good spot for it :)

REAR AXLE SEAL & BEARING

Looks like I've another rear wheel bearing and seal to do.

It's the other side this time so I'll do the brake backing plate mod to match the other side.

Gotta fix that shock mount too as it's on the wrong side.

ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTATS

When I installed the e-fan, I used a electronic thermostat controller to turn the e-fan on and off.

Now it does not work when the Zuk was first started, but only after I smacked it around a bit, then it would run all day long, or until the Zuk cooled down again. Not a wiring or relay issue, but something inside the epoxy'd up Chinese electronics. To coin a phase - Junk.

So I replaced it with a new mechanical controller which is a adjustable bi-metallic strip affair....simpler, and hopefully more reliable.

AIR COMPRESSOR

Perma-mounted my tire air compressor by modifying the existing jack carrier and strapping 'er on.

Luckily the Zuk is so short, the existing air lines reach all 4 corners from that position.

Time will tell if it holds up to the vibration, moisture, heat and dirt :)
